Itera Process Consulting organizes the 2016 AWS Winter in Madrid
Itera Process Spain, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, organized an executive day for Technology Directors on November 17 at the Madrid Technological Park.
AWS Winter Meet 2016 began with a welcome and reception activity, followed up by a networking breakfast, which laid out the foundations an immediate infrastructure interest of the attending enterprises.
The event was attended by 15 of the most innovative companies in its sector within the national and international market.
Ariel Súcari, ITERA Country Manager, was in charge of beginning the journey by depicting the AWS cloud main benefits and the solutions portfolio. “The solutions developed for the Amazon Web Services cloud respond to the challenges faced by most companies in their infrastructure departments. This solutions hold the highest level of security in the market regarding cloud computing.” Afterwards, Antonio Álvarez, AWS EMEA Business Development Manager, portrayed how AWS solutions are fully aligned with the business needs in Big Data and Business Analytics.
After a brief but powerful coffee break, which was used to embrace all the concepts and put on the table specific cases of each attendee; Francisco Javier García explained the simplicity and swiftness that AWS has to offer while launching Cloud environments and Workspace platforms.
The journey finished with the main success stories in Spain and globally by John Lenas, Head of Cloud Services at Itera; He explained in detail implementation cases in both the public and private sectors.

ITERA SPAIN, ONE MORE YEAR ATTENDING AT THE IBM BUSINESS CONNECT 2016.
Itera Spain participated last November 11 in one of the biggest technological events of the year: The IBM Business Connect 2016. It was held at Palacio de Congresos in Madrid.
The conference was attended by Marta Martínez, president of IBM Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel; Some of the company’s top executives, such as Jay Bellissimo, general manager of IBM’s cognitive solutions; And Matthew Candy, vice president and head of European IBM iX.
Over 2,000 professionals gathered at this event “Welcome to the Cognitive Era,” in which IBM introduced its most powerful new technological environment to meet the cognitive age challenges. Some of the most outstanding topics of interest among the attendees were digital development, Internet of Things, cloud capabilities, advanced analytics, or mobility among others.
Itera, as a technology solutions provider holding experience in digital transformation services, attended to the IBM Business Connect showing its requirements management and software development tools IBM Rational Doors, Rational Quality Manager and Rational Team Concert.
“With the nowadays technologies, we can only process 0.5% of all the information that is generated in the world. In order to take value from the remaining data, we need cutting-edge solutions with predictive ability.” Marta Martínez, president of IBM in Spain, used this idea to end up a day focused on cognitive intelligence as the axis of the technological giant’s strategy.
